New Comer: Bone Gunn

While a professional musician for a decade, in both the Punk band Pillars of the Community and Folk band Grimes & Kane, BONE GUNN has always been an outlet for Bryan’s obsessive perfectionism. All other work aside, BONE GUNN has always been the final goal. BONE GUNN embodies Bryan’s creative fervor and the incredible talent and drive of its members.

The story of BONE GUNN is the story of Bryan Kane, its creative force. Bryan grew up “in the military” as he puts it, moving from town to town, school to school until finally landing in up-state New York for most of his adolescence. His musical youth was shaped by playing traditional Irish music at home and especially at family gatherings. At 16 his mother passed away, a truly defining moment in his life. Bryan went from being a calm drug curious youth, to a substance addled young adult, over night. His father became estranged as his interest shifted to his new girlfriend, leaving Bryan to his own devices. Eventually Bryan was kicked out of his house, at only 17 years old, because of his drug use and outright disregard for authority (Bryan had, by this point, already been arrested once on suspicion of Arsen, and later on suspicion of Murder).

Bryan’s independence, drinking, and supply of LSD, led him to start an underage speakeasy for his friends and acquaintances alike. Live entertainment and hallucinogens for all! Bryan’s music became more and more furious along with his drinking and drug use. A police officer that Bryan had befriended, warned him of the imminent downfall of the underground scene he had birthed and what the consequences could entail if he didn’t act quick.

Bryan decided to take the money he had saved up to engage in some aimless travel with his guitar riding shotgun. As he traveled, the music that we hear in BONE GUNN today began to take form. The further Bryan got from home, and ironically, the further he got from drugs, the more eclectic the music became, forming a unique sound best described as “experimental folk.” Bryan however chooses to refer to it only as “Pop.” After an incident involving whisky, gasoline, Bryan’s car, a booger, and a cop’s badge, Bryan decided to take a sabbatical from drugs and booze. Soon after, he landed in Boston where he has been recording his songs. The live band, including Brian Penny (guitar) and Charles Kessenich (drums), has been together for nearly three years, with various other interim members filling the second guitar and bass positions. They have sold several thousand copies of their EP “From The Chain To The Sky.” Their first major tour brought them to Japan where they distributed their limited edition, self titled, Japan EP. Their latest release is a single for their song “Flies” and boasts five songs on an enhanced CD.

The Ragamuffins "Batteries Not Included" New Song

Catchy slice of melodic indie pop ‘Batteries Not Included’ is a perfect example of why people are tripping over themselves to praise cheeky electropop kids The Ragamuffins. This long awaited release, produced by Dave Cottrell at Studio 410, has been praised by the likes of BBC’s John Gillmore and countless others.

An indie pop group based in the North West of England, The Ragamuffins (consisting of David Jaggs, Jules Gilchrist and Paul Heck) are renowned for their emphasis on infectious grooves, lush harmonies and catchy melodies. Their frenetic electro pop style takes in elements of Northern Soul, 80's synth pop and the music of "The British Invasion" of the 1960's and is wrapped up in a witty, uplifting lyricism to create something totally unique.

"Exactly what British indie pop needs right now; charm, originality, but most of all, damn fine song writing" - Preston University Press

Eminem "Turns Down Madonna" News

Most artists would jump at the chance to work with Madonna, but not Eminem. The rapper passed on a potential collaboration with the Material Girl.

“I wanted to work with Eminem. I don’t think he wanted to work with me,” she told Rolling Stone in the magazine’s current issue. “Maybe he’s shy.”

When asked who she listens to today, she cited her collaborators Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. “I really, genuinely like the music of Timbaland and Justin,” adding that her son Rocco “likes anything that I did with Timbaland.”

The Queen of Pop also praised Timberlake’s songwriting skills. “Justin is a brilliant songwriter. I mean, ‘What Goes Around…Comes Around’? Brilliant.”

I thought this was some bull*hit when I first read it and thought it was some rumors going around but eventually after some further research it was quite true. In a way Im quite astonished that Eminem turned it down instead of taking up on the opportunity and exploring something new.

Scarlette Fever "You Don't Know My Name" Video + News

Scarlette Fever is the latest new sensation to emerge from the UK, her songs and sound containing in them vivid evocations of a life lived and loves lost, rather than callow youthful platitudes. You Don’t Know My Name is the lead single from her debut album Medication Time and will be released digitally as part of her Sticky Fingers EP on 26th October.

You Don't Know My Name indulges your aural sensitivities on a hauntingly, beautiful journey of Scarlette’s love from a far. The song is cleverly built around a sample of John Barry's Midnight Cowboy that mixes a touch of pedal steel with a gorgeous melody that drifts like dry ice. With a compulsive love of film and music, John Barry is "as good as it gets" and for Scarlette Fever it was an honour and an incredible validation to be given the blessing of the eminent composer who rarely clears the adaptation of his music.

So impressed was Barry that he asked Scarlette to record a song from his farewell to film scoring tribute ‘The Beyondness of Things’. Don Black specially created the lyrics for ‘Give Me A Smile’. It is a reflective soundtrack that perfectly demonstrates Scarlette's affinity with all things epic. "It was the hardest song on my album to record," she admits. "I’m lucky to have been afforded such an opportunity at this stage in my career."

Scarlette’s debut album, ‘Medication Time’ will be released early next year and follows a distinct theme, one of “chocolate, coffee, wine, self-help books whatever it takes. These are the ‘medications’ I use and often, in excess to deal with the highs and lows of life. Of course, my ultimate medication is my music, there’s a song for every mood swing.”

Sticky Fingers EP will feature remixes of You Don’t Know My Name from Loverush UK! and a chilled out version from Kiss 100's very own Justin Wilkes. Finishing the EP are remixes of Scarlette’s track Lovestruck by The Almighty and Riffs & Rays which are currently causing a storm across clubland.

Stephen Gately "Member Of Boyzone Dies" News

Stephen Gately, a singer with the Irish boy band Boyzone, died yesterday while on vacation on the Spanish island of Majorca, according to a post by the group on its official Website today. He was 33.

While Boyzone declined to give further details about the cause of death, the rest of the members of the group—Shane Lynch, Mickey Graham, Keith Duffy, and and Ronan Keaning—released the following statement: “We are completely devastated by the loss of our friend and brother, Stephen. We have shared such wonderful times together over the years and were all looking forward to sharing many more. Stephen was a beautiful person in both body and spirit. He lit up our lives and those of the many friends he had all over the world. Our love and sympathy go out to Andrew and Stephen’s family. We love you and will miss you forever, ‘Steo.’”

Gately had been in Majorca with his partner Andrew Cowles at the time of his death, according to the band’s website statement. The pair were wed in a civil ceremony in 2006.

Boyzone was a U.K. success in the 1990s and was one of the biggest acts to come out of Ireland in that decade, although they never had much success in the United States. After disbanding in 2000, Gately had put out several solo singles and appeared in musical productions, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The group reunited last year for a comeback concert tour.

Even though this might be at least 4 days old, This overall is tragic with so many entertainers death this year such as with Michael Jackson, DJ AM and now Stephen Gately it truely proves a tragic but a great one as upcoming and developing entertainers will step up on the plate.

Soulja Boy "Arrested In Georgia" News

Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy has been arrested in Henry County following an incident at a video shoot.
The arrest happened on Wednesday (October 7) at 9PM, when officers responded to a call that there were upwards of 40 people mingling at an abandoned house in Stockbridge, GA.

“There were approximately 40 people gathered behind the dark house," Sergeant Rene Swanson detailed in her police report. "Half of the people fled the area as the arriving officer called for back-up.”

Soulja Boy (DeAndre Way) was one of the alleged individuals to flee the scene. In a search of the left behind vehicles, police found a 9MM handgun in the glove compartment of a white Lexus.

Although authorities have not given specifics, police stated the weapon was tied to Soulja Boy.

Upon his return, the rapper gave a statement explaining that his entourage was gathered at the home for a video shoot. Because of the gun, he was still arrested on obstruction charges.

“A white Land Rover at the scene was identified as belonging to Way, who had fled the scene," Swanson stated. "He returned a short time later, and [was] arrested for obstruction."

A second man, Latice Wayne Grier, was arrested on second degree forgery charges when a search of his Dodge Charger yielded eight counterfeit $100 bills.

Soulja Boy was released yesterday (October 8) on a $550 bond, and will answer his misdemeanor charge in State Court. Due to the more serious forgery charge, Grier posted a $10,050 bond and will respond to his case in Superior Court.

At press time, Soulja boy could not be reached for comment.

I know most of you are probably Soulja Boy HATERS, so you might enjoy this post! So have a read, but I LOL @ this I reckon Soulja Boy should of drove away in his car instead of just dashing for it.

Prince Harry: The movie

Prince William may have been born for the throne, but his younger brother is bound for Hollywood. At least, his story is.
Prince Harry's fascinating life has attracted the interest of filmmaker Peter Kosminsky, who plans to make a film about the younger, wilder royal, called The Spare.
Kosminsky says he was drawn to the 25-year-old's story because he feels "a sense of compassion for the guy".

"His parents break up in the most spectacularly public way," says the director."His mother dies in the most tragic, and public way. He's a man born to no role, the heir and the spare.
"Then Harry joins the Army and for 77 days sees action in Afghanistan — and finds, possibly for the first and only time in his life, a role.
"Suddenly, he finds himself alongside ordinary guys. …For the first time in his life he doesn't feel like a spare part. But then that's snatched away and, fearing for his safety, the Army top brass send Harry home."

It's unknown who will be cast as the charismatic, ginger-haired prince, but Twilight star and teen heartthrob Robert Pattinson is said to be high on the list of potentials, as is Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.

When I first heard about this I was like HOLY F**K in a bad way, among this review I reckon it will be a crap movie and I know for sure I wont be watching this. Anyone know who will? But among the crap film list I will name this,Cedar Boys,Facebook Movie and Glee

Pitbull "Rebelution" Album Review

Album: Rebelution
Artist: Pitbull
Genre: RnB/Rap/Techno (brings a variety of flavours within the album)

Triumph feat. Avery Storm
1st Track is very inscriptional , really gets you and the album really amped, the track settles a pitbull Triumph anthem to which connects to you to also gain Triumph and get your hustle on.

Shut it down feat. Akon
The Intro of this particular song brings a sexy rnb , nice choice of backing vocal with akon on the track. But from 0:30 it brings a rnb/techno a very good experiment with a crossfade with rnb to techno transitional even though with a small amount of seconds.

I know you want me (Calle Ocho)
I don’t know if you heard this on your radio blasting but I certainly have, it gives a catchy tune “I know you want me, You know I want you” with this track it could really get the club going for all those sexy ladies especially with Pitbull’s personal touched with his foreign language(even though it’s a few amount of words it brings a dramatic effect)

Girls
With this track I think Pitbull has already and will establish that girls is his life and girls are damm HOT! And sexy, it brings a balance on the track with Pitbull and the girl vocal.

Full of Shit feat. Nayer & Bass Ill Euro
Starts off with a easy melody, I guess with this track Pitbull really gets to express himself but to me I personally don’t think he can express himself that well, as well most of his tracks are party bangas which works the best.

Dope Ball (Interlude)
The dope ball, interlude with this track you get more of a chance of hearing more of Pitbull inner rap style

Can't stop me now feat. The New Royales
Another of Pitbull nice party bangas, that no-one can stop his hustle and his music.

Hotel Room Service
The title already describes the song with Hotel Room Service, its also has catchy lyrics with his hotel room song story lyric structure.

Juice Box
I would say it’s the same as the Dope Ball Interlude where he expressed himself in rap style, once again not of my favourites.

Krazy feat. Lil Jon
Gives a Crunkish feel with Lil Jon, but you hear Pitbull raps through the possible crazy situations.

Give them what they ask for
A more slower beat song, another track which Pitbull expresses himself a more of a personal song as he raps what his gone through "giving what they asked for".

Across the World feat. B.o.B.
Featuring B.o.B. me personally I havent heard of this person before, but usually structure of a track I "been across the World", but this tracks reminds me of another track "Been across world, seen alot of girls" but dammit I cant remeber the track name and who by.

Daddy's little girl feat. Slim (of 112)
Another generic theme, "Daddy's Little Girl" which has a nice melody with 112 singing "Daddy's Little Girl” what you may expect the usually of being Dadd'y Little Girl.

Overall of Pitbull album I thought it was great lots of party bangas and lots of the usually like Daddy's Little Girl and Across the World but I would say this album gives Sean Paul a running for his money espically with Sean Paul lastest released album (Imperial Blaze)

Disney Prepares To Replace Johnny Depp In 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' Franchise

Following the recent departure of Disney studio chief Dick Cook, Johnny Depp admitted to being less enthusiastic about returning to the role of Captain Jack Sparrow for "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" ("Pirates" part 4, for those who lost count). And the fans in turn admitted that they'd give up on the franchise without him in it.

That apparently isn't stopping Disney though. According to a tip received by Cinema Blend, the studio is preparing to replace Depp if/when he decides to abandon ship. This may not happen with "On Stranger Tides," as Disney is likely prepared to offer him as much money as it takes to keep him aboard. The actor, who is said to be aware the last two movies "sucked," will definitely not be sticking around for the fifth and sixth installments if the tipster is to be believed.

Is this sad news for us Jack Sparrow lovers? Certainly, but I don't believe it's the end of the world for the "Pirates" franchise. Yes, Jack Sparrow -- and Depp's portrayal of him -- is terrific and hardly replaceable, but there are other wonderful actors out there who could at least steer the series on their own. And anyway, it might actually be refreshing to follow the adventures of another sort of pirate -- a character unlike (and therefore incomparable to) Sparrow.

The plot of "On Stranger Tides," which Geoffrey Rush claims may begin shooting next spring, could easily work as a changing of the guard.

It was widely believed until last week that "Tides"' story will come at least in part from Tim Powers' novel, "On Stranger Tides," which Disney owns the rights to. Powers confirmed last Monday that the fourth movie will "use elements" of the book.

Powers' novel involves a pirate's search for the Fountain of Youth. The story leaves room for a young newcomer, a character who aids the pirates in their search for the mythic location, to come aboard. While this could turn out to be Orlando Bloom's role in the next movie, it seems possible that Disney might use that character instead as a Sparrow replacement. Of course, the studio will need more than just a pretty face if they hope to rival -- and/or replace -- Depp's iconic pirate.

It's easy to be cynical and believe Disney would screw it up by casting someone like Zac Efron or Shia LaBeouf as the new lead. Just as nobody wants to see LaBeouf completely take over the "Indiana Jones" franchise -- yet -- without Harrison Ford, few of these sorts of rising stars are acceptable fill-ins for Depp.

I dont know if you most of you guys and ladies are film fans but I thought I might share it around, Pirates Of The Caribbean is a MADDD MOVIE! as well as Johnny Depp, but I swear if espically Zac Efron replaces Johnny for Jack Sparrow I swear.I and bunch of other fans will lost interest, What do you think? After all we all hated Zac Efron from High School Musical.

Fat Joe Calls Out Slacking Emcees, "A Lot Of Rappers Can't Make Hooks" News

Fat Joe recently spoke out about the lack of quality albums in today's rap climate and said a surprising number of rappers are incapable of making hooks for their records.

Joey Crack also said he places a strong emphasis on making all of his music sound like "hit" records.

"A lot of albums I hear these days sound like mixtapes," Joey said in an interview. "Believe it or not, a lot of rappers can't make hooks. So it's not a coincidence when you hear your favorite rapper with sampled hooks and they just don't know how to make it. It's a lot of albums that sound like f*cking mixtapes. So when I make an album, I just try to make big records and big songs and make 'em huge to where I'm just trying to make every record a hit. Even if I'm making an underground hardcore record, I'll try to put a real strong hook so it can still feel real big. I hate getting albums and it sounds like one big mixtape." (On Smash)

Fat Joe recently updated fans on his delayed J.O.S.E. Part II album and said he is considering a name change for the follow-up project.

"We worked very hard for this, October 6th, my album Jealous Ones Still Envy Part Two," Joe revealed in an interview last week. "Lil Kim on that album, Weezy on that album, Akon, T-Pain, Fabolous, Raekwon, I ain't even play that Raekwon The Chef yet. It's called 'Ice Cream Man.' Get at me...I like to think I'm better than ever...We talking about a future album, one after this. Probably no more Fat Joe, probably Fat Gangsta is coming. 360. So we just gonna go in so hard, body on that thing like just killing people. The whole joint is gonna be straight violence on that joint right there, so, look out for that. That's the Fat Gangsta, the return of the Fat Gangsta, 'Flow Joe, fat n*gga with the shotty...'" (Invasion Radio)

The Terror Squad leader's J.O.S.E. 2 was initially slated to drop on May 19th.

"I got bad news for everyone," Joe wrote on Twitter unmodified. "My album got pushed back. Monday I will have the new date!!!!!! I'm just as upset as ya!!!! CRACK!!! We pushed my album back my brother, sample clearance, you know. The album is coming late June." (Fat Joe's Twitter)

He previously spoke about the album's motivation with radio personality Jenny Boom Boom.

"The album will be in stores April 7," he promised in an interview last February. "I've just been making that hit mania...It just feels big. My first album Jealous Ones Still Envy was my biggest album and I haven't did no album to this day that I felt I made music as big as that. So I just went hit mania on this one right here. It feels great." (Jenny Boom Boom)

I'm astonished he even said that, especially with 50 cent dissing him I thought he would of learnt his lesson by now, but NOO.. he had to be a smart ass and diss other unexperienced rappers.

50 Cent Rushed To Hospital After Listening To Fat Joe

The video speaks for itself, I was laughing my head off at this when I saw it but once again Fat Joe got K.O.

This afternoon while in his Manhattan offices, employees say that 50 Cent was listening to Fat Joe’s new album, “J.O.S.E. 2″ when all the sudden, he collapsed! An ambulance was called, and by the time they arrived, 50 Cent regained consciousness and was complaining of blurred vision and a severe migraine. 50 Cent was rushed to Mt. Sinai hospital at 4:26 pm.

Doctors say after performing a Cat Scan and EKG there seems to be some damage to his auditory cortex, which is the region of the brain that is responsible for processing sound.

And for those whos still interested in the album-Jealous Ones Still Envy 2 (J.O.S.E. 2) On Sale October 6th

Dr. Dre "Develops Beats Audio Software Debuts It With New HP Envy Laptop" News

Dr. Dre has done so well with his technology collaborations -- specifically his headphones line, Beats By Dre -- that he's teaming up with another electronics company for yet another product.

According to WhoooHa.com, the legendary producer has teamed up with a collabo version of HP's laptop, the HP Envy. As you can see from the photos, it features the recognizable "Beats" logo as well.

The company calls the collabo the "Mac killer," and will not only boast a sleek design, but also feature cutting edge sound. HP says the laptop will feature a "cutting-edge" sound system, named "Beats Audio," designed by Dr. Dre's sound engineers, who help develop Dre's tracks and design the Beats by Dre headphone line.

HP says: "[Dre has] ... a unique, high-performance audio software solution. Available exclusively on the HP Envy, Beats Audio offers users playing music or audio through headphones or external speakers the optimal sound experience -- the way the artist intended it."

Further details about the laptop and software were not revealed, but it's expected to hit sores on October 18th, and will retail for $1,699.

There's rumors the purchase also includes a pair of Beats by Dre headphones, but this was not confirmed at press time.

When I first saw this I didnt want to share about it, but I'm pretty nice and decided to tell, I must says its pretty crazy hearing that Dre has branded out like his associates 50 and Em,

Pitbull "Rebelution [Part 2]" Review

Call of the Wild

Brings more of a jungle anthem with the call of the wild coming.

Part 2 Review of Rebelution- Pitbull, its short as I don't want to go into so much detail that you will get bored to read so I gave a brief description so you may download/listen to the album yourself as well

Diddy "Leaves Warner / Atlantic Records" News

Fans eagerly anticipating “Last Train to Paris,” the new album from Sean “Diddy Combs scheduled for release this month will have to wait a little longer. Diddy has confirmed plans to leave his current label Warner Music Group/Atlantic Records where he has resided for the last five years and released 2006’s “Press Play” which sold 703,000 units to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Now that the term of the Warner deal has ended, I have elected to accept an opportunity to move my recording career and future label venture to another company," Diddy said in a statement to Billboard Magazine.

Reports have Diddy set to sign with Interscope Records which is part of Universal and home to acts such as Lady GaGa, 50 Cent and Eminem.

The joint venture for Bad Boy's current roster and catalog with WMG will remain in place.

That sucked bad that we have to wait longer for Diddy's next album as I was excited for it coming out next month or so, but I guess we will also see what will happen with Diddy moving to Interscope I guess it will be pretty crazy with 50,Eminem,Lady Gaga etc on roster.

Rosa Acosta "Not Engaged To Soulja Boy, Model’s Rep Clarifies Rumors" News

With photos of the alleged couple surfacing online, rumors began swirling that video vixen Rosa Acosta is engaged to teen sensation Soulja Boy,

A Representative for the model, who has appeared in videos for Drake (“Successful,” “Best I Ever Had”), 50 Cent (“OK, You’re Right”) and Jamie Foxx (“Blame It”), has denied the reports.

“Rosa is in LA filming the Chris Brown video,” the rep wrote in an email to XXLMag.com. “Souja Boy took her and four other models to dinner. The picture was taken for the behind the scenes section of Rosa’s website. The ring she has on is a ring her mother gave her a long time ago. Rosa being engaged is false.”

Soulja Boy reportedly appears in the Chris Brown video, as he collaborated with the singer on the track.

I find this pretty crazy, when people say don't trust what you see online.
