Feeling the backlash after he grabbed the microphone from Taylor to protest her winning Best Female Video over Beyonce, Kanye suggested his weird behaviour stemmed from his diffculty coping with the death of his mother in 2007.
"You know, I deal with hurt," he said. "And you know, so many celebrities, they never take time off. I've never taken the time off to really - you know, just music after music and tour after tour.
"I'm just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else's hurt - and I don't try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That's period.
"But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I'm going to make it through the rest of this life, how I'm going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that's something I have to deal with.
"And if there's anything I could do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone, I'd like -- you know, I want to live this thing. It's hard sometimes," he said.
When Jay asked Kanye if he thought his late mother would have been disappointed by his VAMs behaviour, Kanye had to hold back the tears. Fair enough - pretty harsh thing to ask, Jay!
Kanye said that yes, his mum would have been disappointed - he himself knew he'd stuffed up "as soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn't keep going."
Thought I might post the follow up in regards to what Kayne did to Taylor at the WMA's,some of you well probably most of you are Taylor Swift fans and reckon Kayne is a mega prick for doing that, I'm NOT and WILL never be a Taylor Swift fan so probably best wont comment on this situtation.
I want not concur on it. I assume warm-hearted post. Particularly the appellation attracted me to be familiar with the sound story.
