"And Winter Came..." is a new album by Irish new age singer, Enya. This album was released on November 7, 2008. The songs on the album are having christmas theme. The album peaked #6 in the UK on November 16, 2008.

There are 12 tracks on the album:

01. And The Winter Came...
02. Journey Of The Angels
03. White Is In The Winter Night
04. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
05. Trains And Winter Rains
06. Dreams Are More Precious

08. One Toy Soldier
09. Stars And Midnight Blue
10. The Spirit Of Christmas Past
11. My! My! Time Flies!
12. Oíche Chiúin (Chorale)

Enya focuses more on her singing, traditional song structure and lyrics rather than piano layerings, vocal infusions and overdubs that made her second album, Watermark, and third disc, Sheppard Moons so addictive and successful, eventually selling nearly 20 million copies combined and making Enya a household name not only in the New Age circles but in the pop world as well.

"And Winter Came..." and "Journey Of The Angels" are slowly tempo with sprinkle of Enya's atmospheric musings, then "White is In The Winter Night" is very christmas heartbeat song, very nice christmas song on this album. "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel" is typical traditional christmas song with ballad tune. "Trains And Winter Rains" is another nice christmas song on this album with medium tempo still with Enya's style and sounds more poppish, or crossover style. "Dreams Are More Precious" is sixth track with easy listening intro, ballad type christmas song, after that we will listening "Last Time By Moonlight" sounded more dramatic christmas song with deep lyrics. In place of the "Little Drummer Boy" Enya sings of the "One Toy Soldier" whom asks "Who can mend my broken drum? / Will it be as good as new?" The album continues with "Stars And Midnight" and "The Spirit of Christmas Past" which seeks to inspire those who are depressed by the season with words of encouragement "Believe in what I say / Don't throw this time away / Tomorrow will be Christmas Day". "My! My! Time Flies!" I feel, is the most eccentric track on the album, and exhibits more extensive synthesizing of her voice. “Oiche Chiuin (Chorale)” a traditional rendition of “Silent Night” with a new arrangement by Enya and Nicky Ryan, sounds perfect for snowy nights at home by the fire surrounded by dimly burning candles with the smells of Christmas treats baking in the oven filling the room. A perfect choice of track that fits Enya’s vocals beautifully and closes the curtain on a modern Christmas classic.
